This privacy policy governs use of the software applications (“7th MI & 2nd WB Census Mobile App”) for mobile devices that was hosted at Google Play Store. 7th MI & 2nd WB Census is conducted by Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt. of India through State Government allotted Enumerators and Supervisors at Block, District and State. The enumerators will be using the mobile application for data collection from the village level on MI & WB.

The Applications may obtain the information when enumerator download and login in to the Application. Registration is done by the Block Level officer using email and phone number of the enumerator. By using the email, users will be able to login in to the application by using the credentials provided by the supervisor.

The Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application.

When you visit the mobile application, it uses GPS technology (or other similar technology) to determine your current location in order to match with the correct village boundary available in the system. If you are outside the designated boundary then app will prompt you to retake the GPS coordinates to ensure the correct location is selected. If the correct location cannot be captured, you may choose to bypass this step and proceed with the data collection exercise. The location information has been kept for geo tagging the MI Scheme/Water bodies.

Enumerator can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application under the instruction from competent authority. He/ shemay use the standard uninstall processes as perinstructionof DoWR, RD & GR.

We will retain User provided data for as long as enumerator willuse the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain Automatically Collected information also for a reasonable period of time depending on the nature of application and thereafter may store it in aggregate.Also, all unit level data will be stored for future use in secured server ofDoWR, RD & GR.

All mobile apps are meant for use by the targeted usersonly. Misuse by non-targeted users should be prevented by owner of the mobile.

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of data collected using mobile app. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this app/information to authorized enumerators and supervisors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavour to provide reasonable security for app/information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
